Solaris consolidates its position as leader in electric mobility in Poland with the sale of 67 electric buses

 

Solaris, a leading manufacturer of electric buses in Europe, has signed two important contracts in Poland for the supply of 67 electric buses. These agreements reaffirm the country's commitment to sustainable mobility and reinforce Solaris' position as a key supplier in the Polish market.

 

Warsaw strengthens its electric fleet with 50 Solaris buses:

 

The Polish capital Warsaw, which already has one of the largest fleets of electric buses in Europe, has extended its collaboration with Solaris with a new order for 50 18-metre Urbino buses. Characterised by their innovative design with propulsion components on the roof to maximise interior space, the vehicles will be able to carry more than 100 passengers.

 

The relationship between Solaris and Warsaw dates back to the late 90s, and since then, the company has supplied around 1.350 buses for the city's transport service. This new contract is a further step in Warsaw's transformation towards a model of more sustainable transport.

 

Poznań joins the electrification of public transport with 17 Solaris buses:

 

The city of Poznań, in the western region of Poland, has also opted for the electric mobility with the acquisition of 17 18-metre Urbino buses, including an option to expand the order with 8 additional vehicles. These buses, which will be delivered in the second quarter of 2026, stand out for their great autonomy and capacity for at least 110 passengers.

 

Poznań already operates a sizeable fleet of Solaris buses, including 58 electric buses and 25 hydrogen vehicles, demonstrating its commitment to zero-emission technologies.

 

Solaris, pioneer in the implementation of the battery passport:

 

In addition to these important contracts, Solaris has recently stood out for being the first manufacturer to implement the battery passport in a series electric bus. The Urbino 18 model, delivered to the fleet of BVG in Berlin, has this digital document that provides detailed information on the origin, composition, environmental impact and recycling data of batteries.

 

This technological breakthrough, which anticipates the EU regulations that will require the inclusion of such a passport in all electric vehicles from 2027, underlines Solaris' commitment to sustainability and transparency in battery management.
