A large delegation of Spanish companies and organizations has strengthened their economic relations with China within the framework of two important business meetings held on September 9 and 10 in Beijing and Shanghai, during the official visit of the President of the Government, Pedro SánchezIn the People's Republic of China.
On Monday, it took place in Pekin the second meeting of Spain-China Business Advisory Council, organized by CEOE, ICEX and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, with the participation of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA). This forum has established itself as “a key instrument to promote bilateral business collaboration and help integration between companies from both countries,” according to the co-president of the Advisory Board, Francisco José Riberas.
On Tuesday, in Shanghai, was held on Spain-China Business Meeting, attended by more than 700 companies. Immaculate Riera, Director General of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, stressed: “We are aware of the key role of China in the global economy and in global value chains, but let me highlight the capabilities, dynamism and level of commitment with which Spanish companies work, which have much to offer their Chinese partners.”
For her part, the Secretary of State for Commerce, Amparo López SenovillaHe emphasized that "we are at a key moment in our relations with China; there is a long way to go to take advantage of the great potential that the Chinese market offers to Spanish companies."
These meetings have made it possible to address business opportunities in key sectors, such as the green transition and industrial cooperation, in addition to strengthening ties in Supply chains and international markets, highlighting the complementarity of the Spanish and Chinese economies. According to Marta White, president of CEOE International, "there is significant room to increase our presence in the Chinese market", betting on balanced and reciprocal relationships.
