The tasting, held in an atmosphere of great anticipation, was welcomed by prominent figures. José Pascual Marco, Spanish ambassador to the United Kingdom; Ana Rodriguez Castano, Secretary General of Agricultural Resources and Food Security of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food; and Peter Ferrer, president of the FEV, were the hosts of the event. The tasting was directed by the Master of Wine Sarah Jane Evans, President of the Grand Order of Knights of Wine and renowned expert on Spanish wine, who conducted a meticulous selection of seven references among thirty samples.

Following the tasting, attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception, which offered a further opportunity to taste an additional selection of wines from renowned Spanish wineries, including Matarromera Family Wineries, Cosme Palacio Wineries, Marquis of Caceres, Ysios Wineries, Campo Viejo, Protos and Osborne.
This initiative is part of the long-term collaboration agreement between FEV and ICEX, renewed last January. This agreement emphasizes the social, economic and environmental sustainability of the Spanish wine sector as differentiating elements key to its international promotion and to the coordination of actions that enhance its value.
