Teltronic technology will help prevent natural disasters in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo

The company deploys a TETRA radio communications network for the State Center for Risk and Disaster Management and incorporates a tactical mobile unit into the system.


[Img # 35495]El Government of the State of Espirito Santo have selected TELTRONIC, in consortium with Gree4T, for the deployment of a radio communications system TETRA which will be used by the new State Center for Risk and Disaster Management, an entity that aims to identify, monitor and prepare for natural disasters such as the terrible floods that devastated this Brazilian state in 2013.

 

The solution of TELTRONIC includes its infrastructure TETRA NEBULA, and its solution Control Center, CeCoCo, including operators for monitoring, call management and tracking of the GPS position of the radio terminals, ATEX equipment (for explosive atmospheres) that will also provide the Spanish company. In addition, the project also includes a mobile unit with a base station, as well as a mobile dispatch operator, which will allow for an agile and flexible response to the most complex emergency situations, offering a reliable communications system and expanding the areas of coverage in a very short time.

 

Infrastructure TETRA NEBULA It is integrated with the radio systems currently used by both firefighting teams and other public defense organizations, so it will have link gateways capable of enabling interconnection with the various radio technologies used by the different agencies.

 

The deployment of this critical communications system is framed within the Integrated Water and Landscape Management Program, which aims to improve the sustainable management of water resources and increase access to sanitation in the state, an objective that is intended to be achieved, among other strategies, by improving the state's capacity to identify, monitor and prepare for disaster risks.

 

The program, funded by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), It is divided into different components, and the "Risk and Disaster Management" component is under the responsibility of the Military Fire Department of Espírito Santo (CBMES), and includes the implementation of the aforementioned State Center for Risk and Disaster Management (CEGRD).
