At the headquarters of the Ibero-American General Secretariat ( SEGIB ), Secretary General Andrés Allamand , along with the President of the Spanish Confederation of Employers' Organizations (CEOE), Antonio Garamendi , and the Ecuadorian Ambassador to Spain, Wilma Andrade , presented the 15th Ibero-American Business Meeting . This event, to be held on November 13 and 14 in Cuenca, Ecuador, will be part of the 29th Summit of Heads of State and Government and will address five strategic areas: innovation and artificial intelligence, inclusion and employability, gender equality, sustainability, and infrastructure and connectivity.
During his address, Allamand emphasized that the meeting is a space to strengthen the region's growth , stressing the need to include vulnerable sectors, especially women and young people: "Businesses and entrepreneurs are important because without them there is no growth," he underlined. Garamendi, for his part, praised the role of young entrepreneurs in Latin America and highlighted the success of the collaboration between the Ibero-American Business Council (CEIB) and SEGIB in consolidating these meetings as key tools for regional integration: "We have far exceeded the objectives we set for ourselves, such as achieving increasingly higher participation," he stated.
