El 19th National Congress of Freight Transport Entrepreneurs, organized by the Spanish Confederation of Freight Transport (CETM), began this Wednesday, May 22 in Royal City.

 

At the opening of the Congress, the president of the CETM, Ovid de la Roza, has highlighted that road freight transport is «an essential and sustainable sector"which "generates wealth and skilled employment for society as a whole." De la Roza pointed out that companies in the sector "are exposed to a sharp rise in costs" and asked the Government and the Administrations to "take this reality into account" and adopt measures to support the sector.

 

The Congress, which is being held under the motto «Freight transport: Essential and Sustainable«, will feature a comprehensive program of presentations, round tables and workshops that will address the main challenges of the sector, such as digitalization, decarbonization and unfair competition.

 

The National Congress of Freight Transport Entrepreneurs is the largest event in the sector in Spain and a reference event for all road freight transport professionals.

 

In addition, the Congress hosts an exhibition of vehicles, services and transport components in which participating companies will be able to show their latest developments and solutions to the sector.
