The 2025 National SME of the Year Award has announced its 21 finalists: Innovation and sustainability in the global spotlight

 

The competition promoted by Banco Santander and Cámara de Comercio de España has reached its decisive stage. A total of 21 Spanish companies have been selected as finalists for the National SME of the Year Award 2025standing out for its resilience and competitiveness in strategic sectors such as biotechnology, the space logistics and circular economy.

Five high-impact companies have been selected to compete for the top national award after advancing from the provincial phase among more than 50 winners. These companies represent the cutting edge of the Spanish business sector, with business models focused on high value-added exports and the disruptive innovation.

 

• Acorde Technologies S.A. (Cantabria): Specialized in radio frequency for the aerospace and defense sectors.
• Full Facility Services (Balearic Islands): A benchmark in engineering for innovation and sustainability.
• Hydrogen Onsite S.L. (Guipúzcoa): Experts in hydrogen separation technology for energy transport.
• Imto Pack S.L.U. (Toledo): A well-established company in the industrial packaging sector.
• Tebrio Group S.L. (Salamanca): Biotechnological pioneer in the industrial breeding of insects for animal and plant nutrition.

Runners-up: The engine of Internationalization and Innovation

 

In the field of foreign tradeFour companies are competing for the Internationalization runner-up prize. Among them are Caramelos Cerdán S.L. (Murcia), with a presence in 27 countries; Fluytec S.A. (Vizcaya), which exports 90% of its revenue; the cosmetics distributor MiiN Cosmetics (Barcelona) and the consulting firm Valora Consultores de Gestión (A Coruña), with 13 international headquarters.

 

Meanwhile, the Innovation and Digitalization category stands out for the high technological component of its participants, such as Uarx Space S.L. (Pontevedra), a pioneer in satellite logistics, and Oncomatryx Biopharma S.L. (Vizcaya), focused on advanced cancer treatments. They also compete Modular System Global (Cáceres) and Vexiza (Lion).

 

Commitment to Employment and Sustainability

The jury, chaired by José Luis Bonet, President of the Cámara de EspañaIt will also assess the social and environmental impact of SMEs. In the Sustainability section, proposals such as the following stand out: Lain Technologies S.L. (Madrid), which drastically reduces the carbon footprint in mining, or Querqus Sustainable Packing S.L. (Zaragoza), focused on the circular economy.

 

The panel of experts includes prominent figures such as Ignacio Juliá (Santander España), Borja Oyarzabal (Banco Santander), Inmaculada Riera (Cámara de España), David Fernández (El País) to Isabel Puig (Comisión de Pymes de la Cámara de España).
