With the aim of facilitating the understanding and implementation of these standards, the Asturias Hub Defense, Quality Club and the Ministry of Defence (through its Delegation in Asturias) have promoted an information session held in the AS-Hub building of the Science and Technology Park of Gijón.
Lieutenant Colonel Rueda, Quality Assurance Representative (RAC) of the Industrial Inspection Area of the Ministry of Defense in Asturias, highlighted the legal obligation of this assurance for the entire supply chain in government contracts. Rueda explained: “Quality assurance provides confidence. where all the characteristics of a product or service are in accordance with the established needs and expectations. This also includes regulatory or mandatory requirements.” He further emphasized “the importance so that companies know what requirements we, the official representatives of quality assurance, will demand of them when they have a contract with the Ministry of Defense for products and services that are complex, critical, and high-cost.”
For his part, Captain Cequier detailed the nature of the PECAL regulations, placing special emphasis on the Risk management.
