The Cádiz Free Trade Zone strengthens international ties with an exchange of experiences in Cartagena de Indias.

The main objective was the exchange of knowledge and experiences in matters of sustainability and operations , as well as the exploration of opportunities for the internationalization of companies from Cadiz.

Cadiz and Cartagena: Commercial and Sustainable Bridges

The mission, which was carried out as part of the preparation for Colombiamar 25 , the most important naval fair in Colombia, allowed the Cadiz delegation to learn firsthand about the activity and dynamics of two of the main commercial hubs of Cartagena de Indias , a strategic port with connections to all of Latin America.

The delegation, led by Fran González, Special State Delegate for the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, and Marta Domínguez, Director of Business Promotion and Foreign Trade, included Carlos González, CEO of Frizonia, a company with over 12 years of presence in Cartagena through its subsidiary Frizonia Colombia SAS, specializing in marine air conditioning and refrigeration solutions. Mauro Mendoza, Director of M&S Group, Frizonia's local partner, and Julio Rodríguez, Executive Director of AZFA, were also part of the delegation.

The visit to Parque Central allowed the delegation to learn about the operations of this 115-hectare business park, which houses more than 50 companies from various sectors. One of the highlights was the exchange of experiences in sustainability, as Parque Central is developing an eco-industrial park program following the parameters of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization ( UNIDO ).

Subsequently, the delegation moved to Zofranca SA ., a free trade zone managed by the Colombian government that offers a different model, with a direct connection to the sea and a strong focus on solar energy for self-consumption.

"Meetings and encounters of this type give meaning to the Free Trade Zone's internationalization strategy for companies and validate the Consortium's presence in AZFA , which serves as a link and builds trust to carry out these types of operations with all the guarantees," said Fran González, delegate of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz.

Cooperation and Blue Economy

During both visits, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone had the opportunity to share its vision and experience in the blue economy and sustainability, areas in which it has developed innovative strategic lines that benefit the companies located within its facilities.

This mission is part of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone's internationalization strategy, which seeks to facilitate Cádiz companies' access to new markets and strengthen their international relations.
