Gustavo González de Vega, Deputy Minister of Economy and Internationalization of the Government of the Canary Islands and Vice President of Proexca, was in charge of receiving the business representatives.
"This initiative seeks to promote trade relations and knowledge exchange between the Canary Islands and Latin America, specifically in industries related to technological innovation, which are among the fastest growing in the archipelago in recent years," said González de Vega, highlighting the importance of these sectors for the economic diversification of the islands.

The eleven companies, from Argentina (2), Colombia (5), Panama (1), and Peru (3), were selected by Proexca's technical team from over 200 applications. The selection was based on their high potential, business solvency, and the feasibility of establishing a branch in the Canary Islands, as well as collaborating on joint product development with local firms.
For these technology companies, the Canary Islands represent a dual strategic enclave:
Gateway to Europe: It allows them to operate within the European market.
Proximity to Africa: It offers a point of connection and knowledge close to the opportunities that the African continent presents for the development of innovation projects.
This geographical appeal is complemented by the robust ecosystem supporting the sector and the Unique tax advantages in Europein addition to excellent global connectivity.
High-Level Agenda
During their stay, the delegation will hold key meetings and visit institutions fundamental to their mission, including the Technology Parks of Gran Canaria and Tenerife and the Gran Canaria Economic Development Agency (SPEGC). They will also participate in relevant ecosystem events such as HUB intech y Connect ICT, in addition to various performances and presentations.
The selected companies that show high rates of internationalization are: Pss, Cielum Health, Lanzcom Audiovisual, Tiempo de Cine, Calificadas, Soluciones Etech Corp, Packsa, Ixora, Greendeal, Distrifood del Caribe and Legado.
