A total of twelve companies located in the area of the Algeciras Bay are participating in the fairs Nor-Shipping (Oslo, Norway) and BreakBulk Europe (Rotterdam, Netherlands) with the financial support of the Chamber of Commerce of the Campo de Gibraltar. With these two actions, the chamber entity closes in 2023 its calendar of calls aimed at supporting the participation of SMEs in the region in meetings of international relevance.
In total, and thanks to the co-financing of the European Regional Development Fund (SPRING), the Chamber has managed in 2023 around 80.000 Euros to facilitate the participation of companies linked to port logistics and maritime activity in reference meetings for the sector. This calendar has had as destinations, along with Nor-Shipping and Breakbulk, the East Med Marine and Offshore Exhibition (Limassol, Cyprus) and Costa Rica, in a very successful trade mission for its participants organized last May with the collaboration of the Port of Algeciras and COMPORT.
The president of the Chamber of Commerce, Carlos Fenoy, has valued the implementation of these initiatives very positively. “We are capable of providing direct aid to companies to intensify their presence in these international showcases and publicize their capacity to provide quality services,” declared the president of the Chamber. “The assessment of our International Promotion Program is excellent, given the reception and response of these calls among our companies,” he stressed.

El International Promotion Program (PIP) is a project managed by the Chamber of Commerce that is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (SPRING).
