Egypt's president is committed to strengthening trade relations with Spain

 

President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, highlighted his Government's efforts to boost economic growth and attract foreign investment during a meeting with Spanish businessmen. At this meeting, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, the aim was to strengthen bilateral relations and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

 

Abdel Fattah El-Sisi He expressed his gratitude for Spain's support and highlighted the advantages that Egypt offers to the private sector, such as its resources, qualified workforce, trade agreements and strategic location. He invited the Spanish companies to invest in sectors such as green hydrogen, logistics, services and automotive, especially in the region of Suez Canal.

 

For his part, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Enterprise of Spain, Charles Body, reaffirmed Spain's interest in enhancing the strategic relationship with Egypt, highlighting the potential for collaboration in key sectors.

The president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Joseph Louis Bonet, stressed the importance of this visit at a complex international moment and noted the interest of Spanish companies in sectors such as transport, energy, water, defence, industrial technology and tourism.

 

The vice president of CEOE, Íñigo Fernández de Mesa, highlighted Egypt's growth potential as a leading African economy and the importance of establishing long-lasting business relationships in sectors such as renewable energy, water treatment and rail transport.

 

Spanish businessmen attending the meeting expressed their commitment to Egypt and their willingness to invest and develop business in the country, generating employment and transferring knowledge.

 

Prior to this meeting, a meeting was held Business meeting with more than 150 companies, which was attended by representatives of both governments and the private sector. Topics such as collaboration in new sectors were discussed and the importance of Spain-Egypt Bilateral Business Council as a platform to strengthen business relationships.
