The Region of Murcia leads exports of food and non-alcoholic beverages to Saudi Arabia

La Murcia has stood out as the Spanish province with the most products food and non-alcoholic beverages exported to Saudi Arabia during the period between January and November of the previous year. Exports reached a total value of 40 millones de euros, representing the 15% of the national total in this sector.

Among the main exported products are food preparations such as juices, ingredients and additives for food, as well as confectionery products. To further enhance Murcia's presence in the Arab market, the Ministry of Business, Employment and Social Economy, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Institute for Development (Info) and the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia, is driving regional participation in The Saudi Food Show 2025.

Councilor Marisa López Aragón stressed that this event is a “an unmissable event to maintain the presence of our companies in very promising markets”, highlighting both the internal economic development and its strategic location that facilitates access to other emerging markets in the Middle East.

The Saudi Food Show 2025 will bring together producers, distributors and food industry experts to showcase innovative products, establish business connections and explore global trends. Last year, the event attracted more than 40.000 visitors and featured 1.002 international exhibiting companies.

The deadline for interested companies to pre-register will remain open until January 31 on the Info website. This initiative is part of the 2025 Internationalization Plan and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
