The meeting will bring together researchers, industry representatives, policy makers and other key players to strategically discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the food sector in the region. The conference program will address six main topics, ranging from the challenges and opportunities in the cross-border food system to the future of the sector through digitalization and marketing. The conference will also analyze the Innovation, technology and food safety in a changing global landscape, as well as consumer trends and the improvement of the value of local resources.
A fundamental part of the project is the development of the future Iberian FoodTec Lab (IFL), an initiative that aims to be a reference center for food innovation in the Iberian Peninsula. The conference will serve to present the strategic advances of this project, demonstrating its potential to position the Euroregion as a food technology innovation hub.
The organization has extended an invitation to all stakeholders in the agri-food sector—researchers, companies, and entrepreneurs—to actively participate in the event, which is free of charge. The deadline for submitting abstracts for presentation at the conference is September 15.
