Thanks to this project, students of the Higher Degrees in International Trade and Transport and Logistics will be trained as managers of freight forwarding and consignee companies.
La Port Authority of Valencia (APV), through Valenciaport Foundation and in collaboration with the Generalitat Valenciana (GVA), has launched the project “Dual Vocational Training – Port Immersion”, a pioneering initiative in the sector in which the cluster companies and secondary education institutes participate with the main objective of adjusting training in a way that responds to the real labor needs of the companies in the sector and facilitates the labor insertion of the youths.
Thanks to this project, students from the Higher Degrees in International Trade and Transport and Logistics as managers of freight forwarding and consignee companies. These students will also be offered an internship contract with a remuneration of 800 euros/month during the 4 months of dual training. Students will receive a total of 3.000 hours of training distributed as follows: 2.000 hours at the institute, 400 hours FCT (Training in Workplaces), 200 hours of Port Immersion, which will be taught at the facilities of the Valenciaport Foundation and 400 hours of internships in companies in the sector.
The training centers that will begin implementing this initiative starting next September are Luis Suñer Sanchís, Pere Boïl and the Abastos Secondary Education Institute.
This project was presented yesterday for the first time to the members of the Association of Logistics Managers and Entrepreneurs Propeller Valencia, collaborators and promoters of this initiative, during the talk-colloquium they organized with the general director of APV, Francesc Sánchez.
