The Admiral Sir Ben Key, Chief of the Royal Navy Staff, has visited the Navantia shipyard in Puerto Real (Cádiz), where the construction of some blocks of the program's ships will be carried out Fleet Solid Support (FSS) for Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA). This project involves the construction of three ships intended to provide ammunition and supplies to the Royal Navy, and is the result of a collaboration between Navantia UK, BMT, Harland & Wolff and Navantia.
During the visit, Sir Ben Key He toured the facilities and workshops where the blocks will be made, as well as the 500-meter-long dry dock, accompanied by important authorities, including the Rear Admiral Ivan Finn and Dan Bishop, Navy procurement and defense equipment managers.
The British delegation, after a meeting in Madrid with the president of Navantia, Ricardo Dominguez, was received in Puerto Real by the Director of Operations and Business of Navantia, Gonzalo Mateo-Guerrero, and other key figures such as the CEO of Navantia UK, John of the Cave, and the non-executive chairman of the UK subsidiary, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Sir Alan Massey.
