The Senate Economy, Commerce and Business Commission has given the green light to a motion from the Socialist Group that seeks promote the internationalization of the Spanish economy as a fundamental pillar for structural growth and job creation.
The socialist initiative proposes the generation of the necessary measures to increase Spanish merchandise exports and the insertion of Spanish products in the global value chains. Likewise, it seeks expand the base of export companies, as well as its average size, promote international trade in services y promote the competitiveness of companies through talent, brand and innovation.
The Socialist Group Company spokesperson and senator for Cáceres, Miguel Ángel Nacarino, has defended the initiative in the Commission, emphasizing the firm commitment of the Government of Spain to the Spanish productive and business fabric in the foreign market.
Nacarino highlighted that Spain shows an increasingly internationalized economy, and added that this strategy aims to improve employment data and competitiveness.
In this sense, he pointed out that generating confidence in international investors is a fundamental factor for the development of our economy and a clear symptom of stability and credibility of Spain.
"It is also necessary to strengthen public support measures for Spanish companies in order to face the challenges and access markets with the greatest growth potential," he concluded.
