The Spanish Chamber of Commerce awards the best chamber initiatives in support of the business community.

 

The ceremony, presided over by the Secretary of State for Trade, Amparo López Senovilla, highlighted the work of seven chambers in various key categories for business development.

Recognitions for Chamber Excellence

This year's edition recognized the following chambers for their outstanding initiatives:

    Arbitration and Mediation: Seville Chamber
    Internationalization: Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce
    Digitalization: Linares Chamber
    Training: Zaragoza Chamber
    Sustainability: Bilbao Chamber
    Entrepreneurship: Chamber of Pontevedra, Vigo and Vilagarcía
    Social Leadership: Valencia Chamber

 

Amparo López Senovilla emphasized that these awards "highlight the constant work of the Chambers of Commerce, spread throughout the country, which promote entrepreneurship, the innovation and internationalization"He also highlighted the 'fundamental role of supporting Spanish companies, with special attention to SMEs, to face the challenges in a constantly changing world.'"

Award-Winning Projects in Detail

 

Arbitration and Mediation Award: Seville Chamber

The Seville Chamber of Commerce was recognized for its Strategic Alliance to Promote Arbitration and Mediation, in collaboration with the Bar Association. Pedro Delgado, Secretary General of the Chamber, expressed his pride in the initiative, which has achieved extensive outreach and consolidated institutional alliances to promote the use of these mechanisms.

 

Internationalization Award: Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce

The Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce received the award for AFRICO, a project that promotes cooperation between chambers of commerce, institutions, and companies in Spain, Portugal, and West Africa. Luis Padrón, president of the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, explained that AFRICO seeks to position the Canary Islands as a strategic bridge between continents, facilitating economic dialogue and opening new markets.

 

Digitalization Award: Linares Chamber

The Digitalization award went to the Linares Chamber of Commerce for ENTERBIDATA, a chamber management system that uses data intelligence to improve decision-making and personalize services. José María Villén, president of the Linares Chamber of Commerce, thanked the team and the jury for recognizing this innovative project.

 

Training Award: Zaragoza Chamber

The Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce received an award for its Escuela Impulsa initiative, a training model that combines digital tools, personalized monitoring, and strategic support for management teams. Vice President María Torres Palacín emphasized that the Chamber seeks to develop replicable and useful models for the entire network.

 

Sustainability Award: Bilbao Chamber of Commerce

The Bilbao Chamber of Commerce was recognized for its ESG Hub, developed in conjunction with the BBK Foundation. This initiative helps companies incorporate sustainable criteria, share best practices, and adapt to European regulations. José Ignacio Zudaire, president of the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of sustainability as a pillar of competitiveness and the future.

 

Entrepreneurship Award: Chamber of Pontevedra, Vigo and Vilagarcía

This recognition went to the Chamber of Commerce of Pontevedra, Vigo, and Vilagarcía for TURISLAB, a cross-border accelerator that supports entrepreneurs and companies in developing innovative and sustainable tourism projects. José García Costas, president of the Chamber, dedicated the award to the team behind this initiative.

 

Social Leadership Award: Valencia Chamber of Commerce

The Valencia Chamber of Commerce received awards for SoliDANA and BusDANA, projects that emerged after the DANA (Isolated Depression at High Levels) to support affected businesses. José Vicente Morata, president of the Valencia Chamber of Commerce, recalled the tragic experience and highlighted the exemplary solidarity of the chamber network in difficult times.
Composition and Criteria of the Jury

 

The jury was chaired by Joseph Louis Bonet, president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, and comprised of prominent figures from the business and financial world. The initiatives were evaluated based on originality, impact on the region, investment made, number of beneficiary companies, and collaboration with other chambers and organizations.
