The president of the Chamber of Spain, José Luis Bonet, assures that neither citizens nor companies can wait 15 days for the Finance Ministers to approve a Shock Measures Plan.


[Img # 35696]The president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Joseph Louis Bonet, supports the firmness of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, in his claim to the European Union of forceful measures to confront the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

 

In view Joseph Louis Bonet, neither companies nor European citizens can wait 15 more days for the finance ministers reach an agreement on a Shock Measures Plan. “We need answers and we need them now. Europe is at stake in this crisis. If it is not up to the task, it will cause serious disaffection among citizens who will turn their backs on the European Union".

 

 

According to the president of the Chamber of Spain, the European umbrella is essential so that the Spanish Government can undertake new economic and social support measures that allow it to face the devastating economic effects of this health emergency.

 

 

In this context, Joseph Louis Bonet has recalled that protecting people's health is now the priority, so it is essential to heed the instructions of the Ministry of Health and collaborate at all times with the authorities to stop the spread of this pandemic.

 

But, in addition, the Administration has to protect citizens in vulnerable situations and companies that are immersed in serious difficulties, since they are the key to successfully facing the subsequent phases of economic recovery and economic and social reconstruction of Spain.
