La Generalitat Valenciana has formalized the concession of 5.513.657 Euros in aid to 137 companies in the region to boost their Capabilities in 2026. The program, managed by the Conselleria de Industria, Turismo, Innovación y Comercio and published in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV), is designed to mitigate the economic impact of the DANA 2024 and allow the beneficiary companies to resume their activity abroad.
This grant program aims to help affected companies strengthen their presence in international markets and develop new commercial promotion plans, thus consolidating their recovery process.
Strategy for external support and competitiveness
The Minister of Industry, Tourism, Innovation and Trade, Marián Cano, has emphasized the objective of this extraordinary measure: «From the Consell We are reinforcing our strategy to support Valencian companies affected by the DANA storm, helping them to compete strongly again in international markets, certify their products, and protect their brands at a key moment to consolidate their recovery."
Cano He also emphasized that "internationalization is an essential tool for strengthening the competitiveness of our companies and diversifying their markets. Therefore, we continue working to ensure that no company's growth potential is hindered by the consequences of the storm."
A key aspect of the call is that all beneficiary companies will receive a grant that covers 100% of the eligible expenses requested, thus guaranteeing maximum financial support for their global expansion projects.
Actions covered and flexibility in execution
The grants are designed to cover a wide range of key activities in the internationalization process. Funded activities include participation in international trade fairs, the implementation of international marketing plans, costs associated with trademark and industrial property registration, and product certification and approval processes for accessing new markets.
In addition, subsidies will be provided for the new hiring of qualified personnel in foreign trade and for strategic consulting expenses. Notably, the program also covers non-current and unforeseen expenses arising from geopolitical volatility, such as those generated by the conflict of Irán.
New features in the regulations include greater flexibility in project implementation. Companies will be able to request modifications to their initial plans if unforeseen circumstances arise, subject to prior authorization, in order to adapt their strategy to market realities.
