The Valenciaport Foundation approves its Strategic Plan 2025-2030 with an ambitious action plan and budgets exceeding €8,1 million for 2026

 

The entity's general manager, Antonio Torregrosa , presented a highly positive year-end report , highlighting the Foundation's participation in 52 innovation projects funded through key European and national programs such as Horizon Europe, CEF, Digital Europe, Interreg Europe and EUROMED, ​​among others.

 

Cybersecurity and Digitalization, Pillars of European Growth

 

The company has strengthened its portfolio of strategic projects with the approval of four new European initiatives in the second half of 2025. These projects focus on areas critical to international business and logistics :

 

ATHENA (Horizon Europe): Focused on a scalable cybersecurity solution to ensure compliance with the new EU regulations.

 

CUSTOMAI (Horizon Europe): Development of artificial intelligence tools for the optimization of customs controls in the European Union.

 

EFTI4LIVE (CEF): Implementation of the EU EFTI Regulation, crucial for the digitization and interoperability of information in freight transport.

 

DETANGLE (Digital Europe): An automated platform that will facilitate compliance with European cybersecurity regulations.

 

Million-Dollar Impact and Successful Projects for the Cluster

 

Torregrosa emphasized the significant economic and technological benefits that the Foundation's work generates for the port and logistics cluster . During 2025, the Valenciaport Foundation has promoted a total budget of €13,6 million for the development of European projects. Of this amount, €8,5 million has been channeled as direct funding for the port community, earmarked for the implementation of improvements, infrastructure, and technological innovations.

 

In this regard, the Foundation will close the year with ten successfully completed projects , among which H2PORTS stands out , having enabled the testing of hydrogen- powered machinery in real-world operations at the Port of Valencia, as does 5G RADAR , with the installation of mobility and docking assistance radars. Also noteworthy are ILIAD , focused on advanced ballast water management at the Port of Sagunto, and the development of the CLEVER TOOL platform for the Valencia Port Authority's (APV) Climate Change Observatory.

 

Likewise, the iMARPORT service , key to boosting innovation, has facilitated the approval of 85 million euros in aid to 19 companies between January and September, focused on infrastructure, digitalization and decarbonization.

 

International Cooperation and High-Level Training

 

FV's international commitment has materialized with the recent collaboration with the Port of Santos in its decarbonization process and the imminent fifth edition of the Master in Port Logistics in Brazil.

 

In the area of ​​training, the 34th edition of the Master's Degree in Port Management and Intermodal Transport has been launched . The 12th edition of the Customs Representative Course stands out as a success , with 80% of its students passing the official AEAT exam, a crucial figure for foreign trade.

 

Horizon 2030: Sustainability and Innovation Ecosystem

 

The Strategic Plan 2025-2030 presented by Torregrosa establishes fundamental pillars such as improving knowledge transfer , consolidating the open innovation ecosystem of Valenciaport (driven by events such as the Port Entrepreneurship International Congress – PEIC), supporting digital transformation and, crucially, accompanying the energy transition and environmental sustainability process of the port community.
