The Chambers of Commerce allocate almost 9 million euros to promote the export of Spanish SMEs

The network of Chambers of Commerce of Spain will allocate a total of 8.907.305 million euros in 2024 through the Chamber Internationalization Plan to support the internationalization of companies, mainly SMEs. This plan, which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, aims to increase and consolidate the Spanish export base, diversifying destination markets and offering training and support to companies.

 

The Chamber's Internationalization Plan contemplates carrying out 548 actions, of which 352 will be external promotion actions, 116 training activities and 80 information days. Promotion actions will focus on nearly 100 countries on five continents, with special attention to Asia, where the shares will increase by 11% compared to 2023, going from 37 to 41. Africa It is also consolidated as a strategic axis, with 13% of the activities (47 actions), while North America y Middle East They will represent 8% and 5% of the shares, respectively.

 

Europe remains an important market, with Germany, France and the United Kingdom as main destinations. Within Central America and Mexico, this last country will be a priority in 2024 with 11 actions. In Middle East, United Arab Emirates is positioned as a key market with 9 planned actions.

Trade missions, B2B meetings and international fairs

 

direct trade missions They will be protagonists of the foreign promotion, with a total of 166 planned throughout the year. There will also be organized 21 meetings between Spanish and foreign companies and 90 visits to international fairs.

 

Training and information for companies

 

The Chambers of Commerce will offer 116 training activities in foreign trade, including workshops to get started in exporting, seminars on specific countries, courses on taxation and tariffs, foreign trade management and commercial documents. In addition, 80 awareness days and forums will be held to encourage companies to export for the first time, as well as market studies, databases and publications.

 

A jointly developed plan

The Chamber's Internationalization Plan 2024 has been prepared based on the proposals and contributions of the territorial chambers of commerce, following the guidelines of the Secretary of State for Commerce and ICEX, and with the approval of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce. This plan is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund for most of its activities, and has been consulted with the Autonomous Communities and business organizations.
