The Free Trade Zone and the Chamber of Commerce promote the internationalization of Galician companies with a new agreement.

 

The agreement, signed by the State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, David Regades, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Jose Garcia Costas, continues the fruitful relationship between both institutions.

 

This agreement will facilitate the implementation of a support program for the Capabilities, which will be co-financed by ERDF FundsThe initiative will focus on organizing reverse missions in two strategic sectors for the Galician economy: seafood and industrial subcontracting.

 

Specifically, from June 16 to 20, a dozen European buyers from the industrial subcontracting sector will visit the region to explore business opportunities with local companies. Later, in October, coinciding with the celebration of Conxemar, a meeting will be held with importing companies from various countries interested in the fishing, canning, and seafood processing sectors. This event will include an extensive program of meetings with small and medium-sized Galician businesses at the fairgrounds.

 

Green light for new editions of Vía Exterior

 

Additionally, the Executive Committee of the Vigo Free Trade Zone has approved the awarding of the service for the implementation of the VIII and IX editions of Vía Exterior, the established internationalization accelerator for the Galician business community. For seven years, this program has provided advice and support to companies seeking to expand into the international trade.

 

The results of the seven previous editions of Vía Exterior are remarkable: 190 companies have received the support of the Consortium to introduce their products in foreign markets, achieving an impressive success rate of 90%. Thanks to this initiative, numerous companies have realized their first international sale, while others have managed to access new markets or strengthen their presence in existing ones. While European destinations such as Portugal, France, Germany and Italy are the most frequent, Galician companies have also managed to enter markets as diverse as United States, Mexico, Morocco or China.

 

This new agreement and the continuation of programs such as Vía Exterior reaffirm the commitment of the Free Trade Zone and the Chamber of Commerce to promoting the competitiveness and international growth of Galician companies.
