The governor of Goiás presents business opportunities in the Brazilian State

[Img # 24816]The vice president of the CEOE International Relations Committee, Julian Nunez, has opened a business meeting at the headquarters of the Organization with the Governor of the Brazilian state of Goiás, Marconi Perillo, to learn first-hand about the trade and investment opportunities existing in the Brazilian State. The president of the Association also participated in the event. Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce, José Gasset-Loring; the Brazilian ambassador to Spain, Antonio Simões; the general director of the National Land Transportation Agency, Jorge Bastos; and the president of the Goiás State Investment and Partnership Company-GoiásParcerias, Cyro Miranda Gifford Junior.

 

Julian Nunez He stressed that this is the second visit of the governor of Goiás, who visited CEOE for the first time in October 2015, which allows strengthening the good relations they maintain Spain and Brazil. Núñez He stressed that Goiás' GDP has maintained an average continuous growth of 1,6%, which places it above the national GDP and makes the state one of the ten richest in the country.

 

Likewise, the vice president of the CEOE International Relations Commission, praised the Government's initiative in adopting programs that aim to make Goiás "More Competitive and Innovative". Thanks to them, significant progress has been made in public safety, health, education, sanitation and transport. In this regard, he also highly valued the strategic planning in terms of infrastructure, logistics and transport, as it represents a great opportunity for Spanish companies with extensive experience to invest and collaborate in these sectors.

 

 

The president of the Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce, José Gasset-Loring, and the Brazilian ambassador to Spain, Antonio Simões, encouraged Spanish businessmen to cooperate in the various projects that have been launched in the region.

 

 

Brasilia-Goias Train

 

El Governor of the Brazilian State, Marconi Ferreira Perillo Junior, highlighted the project of a high-speed train that will connect Goiás with Brasilia and which represents a major step in the connectivity of the area. For this reason, he encouraged Spanish investors to collaborate with local companies and thus strengthen bilateral relations.

 

The general director of the National Land Transportation Agency, Jorge Bastos and the president of the Investment and Partnership Company of the State of Goiás-GoiásParcerias, Cyro Miranda Gifford Junior, pointed out that the main objectives of this project focus on regional development and consolidating synergies between Goiás and BrasiliaThey also explained that it will be a passenger train that will reach 200 km/h and will make stops at Annapolis and Samambaia, which means economic, commercial and real estate development for these areas. They also highlighted another large-scale project that aims to connect the north and south of the region by rail.
