The Association of logistics managers and entrepreneurs, Propeller Valencia, has held a new

lunch-colloquium that has had the participation, as guest speaker, of Jesús Cuéllar, president of Foro MADCargo, the association of professionals belonging to all sectors that make up the community of Madrid Air Cargo.

 

In addition to explaining the objectives, operation and activities carried out by the Forum, Jesús Cuéllar has referred to the important logistical synergies between Madrid and Valencia, not only in the air field, but also on the intermodal level.

 

Cuéllar has referred to the importance of entities such as Propeller Valencia or Foro MADCargo collaborate in achieving common objectives and in actions aimed at strengthening the logistics sector in its

set. Along these lines, he has proposed the creation of a working group, made up of representatives of the Propeller Madrid and Valencia, as well as the MADCargo Forum, in which the current situation would be analyzed, bottlenecks, situations that could be improved and inefficiencies would be searched. with the aim of finding solutions and show abroad a powerful joint maritime and air offer.

Aside from this logistical connection between the cargo communities, Cuéllar has broken down the objectives of MADCargo Forum, as well as its reason for being, which includes, among others, the defense of the profession, the promotion of training in the sector or innovation. Cuéllar wanted to highlight independence, professionalism and collaboration as fundamental pillars of the association.

 

MADCargo Forum also promotes MADCargo Academy and MADCargo Lab, the first intended for training and the second that functions as a laboratory of ideas that can impact the development of professionals in the sector.

 

The president of the MADCargo Forum has finally explained the concept of digital corridors, “which tries to move air cargo by providing a layer of digitalization so that all the exchanges that occur between all the agents in the chain, both at origin and destination, are digitized and with blockchain technology.” Cuéllar has assured that pilots have already been developed between Madrid and Montevideo and there are others underway. “The idea is that in addition to using Madrid as a logistics hub, it is beneficial or advantageous for agents to use these digital corridors,” he concluded.
