Thirteen companies from the Valencian Community specializing in habitat and construction materials are participating in a trade mission to Morocco organized by Ivace+i Internacional.
The Director General of Entrepreneurship and Internationalization, Ester Olivas, explained that this action is part of the Ivace+i International Foreign Promotion Plan , "with which we seek to facilitate new business opportunities for companies in the Valencian Community."
“This time, through our office in Morocco, we have prepared an agenda with around 120 working meetings with importing, distributing, promoting and specifying companies, who have shown interest in learning about the offerings of Valencian companies,” Olivas stated.
Five construction materials companies and eight housing companies (two in furniture, three in home textiles, two in lighting and one in decoration) from the three provinces participate in this action.
Morocco is positioned as a strategic platform for accessing Africa and other growing African markets. Its geographic location, combined with its trade connections, political stability, and economic and demographic growth—a population approaching 37 million and growing rapidly—makes it a prime target.
Morocco is the first client of the Valencian Community in Africa (44% of the value exported to the continent), which demands Valencian products worth 935,1 million euros
Likewise, the country's prospects for 2024 are clearly positive, framed in a context of economic recovery with GDP growth forecasts close to 4% for 2024.
Furthermore, the EU-Morocco Euro-Mediterranean Association Agreement created a free trade area between the EU and Morocco and offers diverse and increasing opportunities, particularly in the contract, habitat and general construction and housing sectors.
In this context, the implementation of various plans by the Moroccan Government , such as the reconstruction plan after the earthquake, with a planned investment of $11.700 billion over the next five years, or the Moroccan government's infrastructure plan, with a budget of $100.000 billion, represent interesting opportunities for companies in the Valencian Community.

This is particularly true for Valencian products related to the contract, housing, and construction sectors . Morocco stands out as the 7th largest global destination and the 2nd largest non-European destination.
