Reverse trade mission
Importers from France, Sweden, the USA, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Guatemala and Costa Rica will learn about the products of 16 companies from Valladolid.

Valladolid Consolidates, a program promoted by the Innovation and Economic Development Agency of the Valladolid City Council (IdeVa), CEOE Valladolid and the Chamber of Valladolid, they launch a new reverse trade mission for the food and wine sector. Over the next two days, thirteen importers from Europe, United States and South America, they will learn first-hand about quality product references from 16 Valladolid companies.
The program of activities planned for the Reverse Commercial Mission includes commercial meetings with producers, distributors and SMEs of the food and wine sector, a B2B workshop and visits to wineries in the province. During the trade mission, importers will be able to meet producers of wine, sausages, cheeses, nuts, craft beer, oil, meat and fruits, among others. The Valladolid companies chosen for this action are a sample of the territory's food sector, characterized by their quality and the technology applied to production processes.
The manager of the Innovation and Economic Development Agency of the Valladolid City Council, Nacho Sánchez García-Abril, has welcomed importers and companies at IdeVa along with Maria Robles, general secretary of the Chamber of Commerce of Valladolid.
During his speech, the manager of the Innovation and Economic Development Agency of Valladolid highlighted the need for a program like Consolida, which is carried out hand in hand with CEOE Valladolid and the Chamber of Commerce, and a trade mission of this type to promote foreign trade, “taking into account that the food industry is the most important sector of Spanish industry. If we focus on Castilla y León, it is an industry in constant growth despite the difficulties. It grows in turnover, the third most important in Spain, in employment, in exports, in innovation processes and in quality,” he stressed.
“In Consolida, the City Council has invested almost one million euros in the last five years to strengthen the city's business fabric in key skills and areas such as marketing, digitalization and Capabilities"added the manager of the Agency, who also thanked the Chamber and CEOE for their efforts since in this second edition of the reverse mission the presence of countries and importers has increased by almost 30%.
For her part, the general secretary of the Chamber of Commerce of Valladolid, María Robles, has indicated that this program meets the objective of the chamber itself. Chamber of Commerce, “consolidate the productive fabric of Valladolid, and contribute to its specialization and entry into international markets, guiding them to be more competitive in terms of sustainability, digitalization and updating of knowledge through continuous training.” Behind it, Robles added, the Chamber has “more than 20 trade missions in the last four years that have allowed the expansion of 600 companies.”
In the words of Adelaida Ortega, head of Training at CEOE Valladolid, this Mission means taking another step in the business consolidation of our productive fabric, as well as strengthening the openness of our companies in their relationships with other markets.
Mission Program
The Reverse Trade Mission has begun with the welcoming ceremony by the organizing authorities for the participants at the headquarters of the Valladolid Innovation and Economic Development Agency. Subsequently, a B2B workshop took place with producers, distributors and SMEs from the food and wine sector in Valladolid.
In the afternoon, the participating companies from Valladolid will hold personalized meetings with the importers to present their product references and with the intention of establishing commercial relationships that will allow them to expand their markets in the invited countries.
During the second day, importers will visit Traslanzas Wineries and Vineyards to learn first-hand about their products and hold work meetings. Later, they will be moved to the Entrepinares Cheese Factory.
Participating in this mission are: Hermanos Hoyos Jamones y Embutidos Ibéricos, Ideal Fruits, Grupo Pistacyl, Queserías Entrepinares, Iberian Star Foods, The 42 Degrees Company, El Secreto del Abad, Grupo Valdecuevas, Palacio de Villachica, Viña Clavidor, Traslanzas Bodegas y Viñedos, Bodegas Pandora, El lagar de Moha, Wine Arts, Bodegas Rodríguez y Sanzo and Grupo Miguel Vergara.
