Transfiere 2025: Malaga consolidates its position as the European epicenter of innovation and technology transfer

 

The event, which takes place in FYCMA (Malaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre) has established itself as a world leader in knowledge transfer and public-private collaboration. In this edition, the Capabilities and territorial innovation strategies are the central axes, with United Kingdom as a guest country and the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna as an invited international academic entity.

 

The inauguration of Transfiere 2025 was attended by prominent figures, including the Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre; the Minister of University, Research and Innovation of the Andalusian Government, Jose Carlos Gomez Villamandos; the Secretary General of Innovation of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Teresa Risk; and the president of the Transfiere Organizing Committee, Felipe Romera.
   

“Transfiere has become an essential meeting point for the innovation ecosystem in Spain and Europe. This year, we are reinforcing our commitment to internationalization and territorial collaboration,” he stated. Felipe Romera during the opening ceremony.
   

The event also included a keynote lecture by Javier García, professor at the University of Alicante and renowned expert in technology transfer, who shared his vision of the future of innovation and the importance of global collaboration.
 

One of the highlights of this edition is the strong commitment to internationalization. United Kingdom, as a guest country, presents its advanced strategies in knowledge transfer and public-private collaboration, seeking to strengthen ties with Spanish companies, startups, and technology centers. Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, for its part, showcases its technology and knowledge transfer model, alongside the Netval network, which brings together more than 100 Italian research institutions.

 

Involvement Türkiye, with a delegation of eight companies from strategic sectors, underlines the global nature of Transfiere. Furthermore, the forum brings together 90% of Spain's autonomous communities and cities, which showcase their innovation ecosystems and strategies. The Andalusian Regional Government, as host, has a prominent presence with a space of over 500 square meters, which includes all Andalusian public entities and public universities.

Canary Islands, as a Premium Partner, presents a broad representation of institutions and companies, highlighting the archipelago's role in national R&D&I. The project Tech FabLab, Golden Partner, focuses on digital entrepreneurship networks, with the participation of six autonomous communities.

 

The Transfiere 2025 program addresses key topics such as artificial intelligence, green hydrogen, defense, and cybersecurity, as well as the role of public procurement of innovation and governance models. The goal is to promote public-private collaboration and knowledge transfer to strengthen the innovation ecosystem.
