Turner inaugurates the renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium

This milestone, part of the development plan of the Gateway District of the university, was commemorated with the first official practice of the Jayhawks football team on the newly completed field.

Turner, who oversaw both pre-construction and construction, has transformed the stadium into a state-of-the-art, multifunctional venue. The renovation included the partial demolition and reconstruction of the structure, the addition of new press boxes, skyboxes, premium suites, and retail spaces, as well as the creation of a vibrant fan experience zone.

One of the most notable elements is the new main entrance to the campus, located at the intersection of the 11th Street and Mississippi StreetThis gate, designed to welcome the community and visitors, symbolizes greater connectivity between the university and the city.

The project also included the renovation and expansion of the Anderson Family Football Complex, a space that Turner herself built in 2008, which strengthens the company's strong relationship with the university.

Beyond sporting events, the renovated stadium is poised to host conferences, performances, retail, and restaurants, serving as an engine of economic development for the region. The new infrastructure not only raises the national profile of the University of Kansas but also fosters a deeper integration with its surroundings.
