Consolidates itself as a reference developer in that market
The collaboration agreement between Univergy International and Trina solar is expanded in 9 projects up to 256 MW.
La Spanish-Japanese company Univergy International, through an agreement with its strategic collaborator Trina Solar, has been the winner for the development of the project “El Campano"Of Photovoltaic Solar Energy of 121 MW of power, located in Chinu (Colombia), in a recently awarded auction.
The draft “The Bell” is part of the agreement that Univergy y Trina Solar have to Colombia for 256MW. The rest of the projects will be ready to be built next year, as well as the commercialization of the energy that will be carried out through private PPAs.
Ignacio Blanco, Executive President and CEO of UNIVERGY International, pointed out that “with the awarding of these 121 MW in auction, Univergy together with Trina Solar consolidate their presence in the Colombian market, expanding their projects to 256 MW.”
Univergy, which has offices located in Barranquilla, began to develop its portfolio of projects in Colombia more than three years ago, a period in which it has generated solar photovoltaic projects for more than 600MW. With the new award, Univergy consolidates itself as one of the leading developers in the Colombian market.
