Valencia Fair generated an economic impact of 2023 million euros in 880,9 Valencia, representing a 4% growth compared to the previous year. In addition, the trade fair activity contributed to the creation of 15.136 full-time jobs, 9,5% more than in 2022, according to a report by the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (IVIE). These results position Feria Valencia as a key driver for the regional economy, with an impact equivalent to 0,64% of GDP and 0,72% of employment.
Feria Valencia has an important multiplier effect on the Valencian economy since for every euro of operating expenditure incurred in 2023, 23,6 euros of income and 50,9 euros of sales have been generated.
The Minister of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism and President of the Board of Directors of Feria Valencia, Nuria MontesHe emphasized the importance of trade fair activity: "The Valencia Trade Fair is a fundamental component of our economy due to its significant driving effect, as well as being a tremendously profitable activity for the public administrations themselves."
The report highlights that 8% of sales by Valencian exhibitors in 2023 were generated thanks to their participation in the events organised by Feria Valencia. This commercial activity had a total impact of 795,1 million euros in GDP and generated 13.044 jobs in the Valencian Community. In terms of tourist spending, although the number of visitors decreased by 1,9%, the increase in average daily spending generated an impact of 26 million euros and 916 jobs.
Finally, the report indicates that for every euro spent on the operation of Feria Valencia, 23,6 euros of income and 50,9 euros of sales are generated, demonstrating its significant multiplier effect on the local economy.
