Valencian agriculture is on display around the world: more than 200 companies are presenting their projects at international fairs.

 

The objective is clear: open new markets and boost the Capabilities of Valencian products, known for their quality and innovation.

 

The Director General of Agricultural and Livestock Production, Maria Àngels Ramón-LlinShe highlighted the importance of these initiatives. "Participating in trade fairs is an excellent opportunity for our companies to showcase their products, identify potential clients, and expand their business opportunities worldwide," she stated. She also emphasized the Generalitat's "unwavering support" for a sector that stands out for its hard work and the exceptional quality of its products.

 

Viticulture, fruits, vegetables, and organic products: booming sectors

 

Of the 231 participating companies, 114 were noticed at international events in Germany, as the Fruit Logistica, Biofach, ProWein and Anuga. The fair ProWein, focused on wine and spirits, was the one that concentrated the largest Valencian representation, with 40 wineries present in Düsseldorf.

 

The fresh fruit and vegetable sector also shone brightly. 27 companies showcased the potential of Valencian agriculture. Fruit LogisticsWhereas in BiofachEighteen companies in the organic sector showcased their latest developments. This segment has experienced significant growth, tripling the number of operators and exceeding €18 million in revenue by 736.

 

 

The Ministry's objective is to promote the opening of new markets and boost the internationalization of agri-food companies in the Valencian Community.

 

 

The Gourmets Hall is tinged with Valencia

 

At the national level, the Valencian Community had a prominent presence in the Gourmets Room, one of the main quality food fairs in Spain. A total of 101 Valencian companies, 67 of them at a booth grouped by the Regional Ministry, showcased the richness of the Valencian pantry.

 

The event dedicated a special day to the Comunitat, with activities that included round tables on wines, cava tastings from the DO Requenaand presentations on traditional products such as Jijona and Alicante nougat or Valencian tiger nuts. Gastronomic demonstrations, featuring products with protected designation of origin such as the Callosa d'en Sarrià loquat and the Benicarló artichoke, were another highlight.
