Why is a new transportation network necessary?

Spain is a market that moves more than 500 million tons of palletized merchandise annually.

The transportation of pallets has experienced unprecedented growth and transformation in recent times; However, we have to go back 12 years to the last launch of a pallet shop network in our country. Since 2012, despite all the changes that have occurred in this business, the sector does not have new transport networks specialized in pallets, nor an adaptation of the existing ones to the new market parameters.

I will put numbers to show to what extent the paletería activity has changed in this period. According to data from the European Union, since 2012 the volume of tons transported by means of a pallet has increased by 44% in the whole of Europe. In Spain, the increase amounts to 70% in the same period, going from fourth European place to second, surpassing France and UK, and only behind Germany, .

These figures show that there is room for another player in this market. But we don't want to be one more. Red&Pallets was born with the conviction that a new transport network is necessary. And when I say new I mean different. We have redefined the structure of traditional pallet networks to put transport companies at the center of our strategy and create a model adapted to their demands. It may seem logical, but the truth is that it is something completely innovative because the existing pallet networks in the market have forgotten the needs of the companies that make them up and that are the ones that generate their business.

I know the business reality of road freight transportation. I have been in the transport sector for 25 years, throughout my career I have met with hundreds of businessmen and I am very aware of the pressures they are under. And there is a common denominator in the demand of many of the operators who work in the existing pallet networks: the spiral towards express services has become a suicidal race that has left many companies on the road and is putting the survival of many others.

We are committed to a sustainable network model, viable in the long term, both for its economy and its operations, and designed to be more profitable for our delegations. Therefore, we prioritize the 48-hour service that we have designed to improve efficiency and reduce costs. More flexible transport management, with which we optimize fleet circulation and significantly increase the average number of pallets per shipment.

And no, we do not give up quality. We have deeply analyzed the market also from the demand side, we also know the needs of pallet network customers and we know that the 48-hour period that we offer is fully adapted to the demands of many industries and sectors. Because we are convinced that fairer and more realistic conditions are also more reliable.

With Red &Pallets we therefore propose a pattern change, in which the transportation network is a truly collaborative project in which the benefit is truly shared by all members. We are committed to a flexible model, which does not impose rules of the game or require changes in the operations of companies, because we are not going to tell professionals how they have to do their work.

We have not come to reinvent pallet transport, but we can make it more competitive. Welcome to the new transportation network.
