The Secretary of State for Commerce, Xiana Mendez, has reaffirmed the growing foreign orientation of the Spanish economy, “in addition to having a solid export base and expanding year after year, our exports are competitive and this competitiveness is supported by factors associated with innovation, quality and product differentiation.”

The Secretary of State for Commerce recalled that in 2022, Spanish exports of goods and services continued to grow and surpassed those of other large European economies such as France or Italy.
