Three and a half months after its start, Fruit Attraction already exceeds the total occupancy of the last edition

For the first time, the event will occupy nine pavilions of the venue, turning the city into the world epicenter of the marketing of fresh products.

Three and a half months after the start of Fruit Attraction, which celebrates its 15th Anniversary from October 3 to 5, and in the full marketing phase, the fair has already exceeded the total occupancy of its last edition, reaching 58.700 square meters of fruit and vegetable offering. 

A figure that will foreseeably continue to grow in the coming weeks, the result of the confidence of companies in the sector, and their commitment to this great international event, which has led to IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, to incorporate pavilion 1 of the fairgrounds to accommodate new companies and distribute participation in a coherent manner. This way, Fruit Attraction 2023 will occupy, for the first time, 9 pavilions -1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10-, turning the city into the world epicenter of the marketing of fresh products.

On this occasion, pavilion 1 will be dedicated to companies in the area Fresh Produce of the Mediterranean basin. Pavilion 3 will host the Valencian Community, Italy and participants from the Auxiliary Industry area. Pavilion 5, a Castilla La Mancha, La Rioja, Extremadura, Canary Islands and some organizations, in addition to the Innovation part of the fair: Smart Agro and Biotech Attraction. In the case of Murcia, it will occupy pavilion 7, and Andalusia will occupy pavilion 9, both also with Auxiliary Industry companies. 

For their part, the even numbered pavilions will house the Fresh Food Logistics and the participation of the southern hemisphere -pavilion 4-; Catalonia, France, Holland and Belgium – Pavilion 6-; Portugal, Italy and Germany, among others, and Ecoorganic and Auxiliary Industry -pavilion 8-. Finally, pavilion 10 will be destined for national and international production companies and Auxiliary Industry companies. 

With a total participation forecast of 1.800 companies, the Fresh Produce Area stands out, representing more than 69% of the fair and registering an increase of 5,5% compared to the previous year, as well as the Auxiliary Industry Area, which represents 25 %, and points to growth in two of its sectors: Biotech Attraction, 12,5%, and Smart Agro, 10%. The Fresh Food Logistics Area also recorded an increase of more than 23%, with the participation of 43 companies.  

The great power of Spain as a world leader in the fruit and vegetable market is felt in the national participation with the presence of practically all of the autonomous fruit and vegetable producing communities in the country, confirming Fruit Attraction as an effective tool for generating opportunities of business and for access to new international markets, precisely in a key month for campaign planning. 

 

Regarding its impact on international participation, it currently has 47 countries represented, placing Fruit Attraction as the key commercial event for global production, marketing and distribution.

 

 

Highly positive data that shows the growing interest of the fruit and vegetable sector in participating in the largest business center in the sector, and its support from promote Fruit Attraction as a fundamental lever of internationalization, and a meeting point for all the professionals who make up the entire supply chain.
