Abengoa puts a bioethanol plant in the US up for sale.

Abengoa's plant in Portales has a production capacity of 113 million liters

The industrial and technological group Abengoa has put one of its four bioethanol production plants in the United States, located in Portales (New Mexico), up for sale for an undisclosed amount, according to sources from the industrial group.
Abengoa's plant in Portales has a production capacity of 113 million liters, while the recently inaugurated plant in Ravenna, Nebraska, can produce up to 333 million liters. However, the Portales plant is not the smallest of Abengoa's plants in the United States. The plant in Colwich, Kansas, opened in 1982, produces 95 million liters.
The industrial group plans to open three more plants in the United States.
Abengoa obtained a net profit of 54,9 million euros in the first half of the year, which represents an increase of 18,6% compared to the same period of the previous year.
