ABX LOGISTICS Iberia, the logistics and transport subsidiary of the Belgian National Railway Company (SNCB), has renewed its collaboration with the "Solidarity Drivers of Catalonia" association for the third consecutive year. The company will provide logistical support for the association's humanitarian efforts, which include transporting children to Bosnia and Herzegovina and delivering essential supplies to Senegal and Palestine.
ABX LOGISTICS will manage both the storage at its logistics platform in Barcelona and all the necessary customs procedures to ensure the humanitarian aid reaches its destination. Specifically, the company will support "Conductores Solidarios de Cataluña" (Solidarity Drivers of Catalonia) in transporting medicines, clothing, educational materials, and health and hygiene products in a truck that will depart for Senegal next November. Similarly, the company will subsequently support the Association in another shipment of humanitarian aid to Palestine, the main cargo of which will be medicines to address the healthcare needs of the region.
ABX LOGISTICS also collaborated in transporting a group of children from Bosnia and Herzegovina who had been staying in Barcelona for several months.
"Solidarity Drivers of Catalonia" is an association formed by drivers in the city of Barcelona who transport products and goods collected by other NGOs to disadvantaged areas. This organization encountered difficulties in its first experience four years ago with all the legal procedures and paperwork involved in crossing various countries. Therefore, since 2001, it has partnered with ABX LOGISTICS, which has remained true to its commitments throughout its previous collaborations with the organization.
