This project, valued at AU$342 million (€192 million), is key to integrating around 400MW of wind power existing and 1 GW of new renewable energy, thus strengthening clean energy generation for the local community. The initiative is expected to generate more than 400 new jobs.
The project includes the construction of 27 kilometers of overhead transmission lines, 6,7 kilometers of underground 132 kV cables, 17 kilometers of overhead lines, and various improvements to substations and terminals.
This award strengthens ACCIONA's presence in Australia, an strategic market where the company has consolidated its leadership in infrastructure. Previously, in collaboration with G, ACCIONA was selected by transgrid for the eastern section of the power transmission line HumeLink en New South WalesThis megaproject, with an investment of AU$1.400 billion (€850 million), includes the design and construction of 227 kilometers of 500 kV overhead transmission lines and the upgrade of the Bannaby substation.
ACCIONA has more than two decades of global experience in the design and construction of transmission networks and electrical substations, ranging from low-voltage installations to large lines in countries such as Spain, Kenya, Mexico and Peru.
