ACS, through its subsidiary Thiess, is awarded a mining services contract in Australia for BHP

Under the new contract, Thiess will perform mine design, planning and scheduling services, drilling and blasting operations, overburden removal and coal mining.

The global mining services provider CIMIC Group, Thiess, has been awarded a 1.200 billion Australian dollar contract to provide mining services in operation Mt Arthur Coal en Hunter Valley, Australia.

This new five-year contract builds on the existing agreement of Thiess and expands the scope of Thiess operations to include additional services as a mine operator at the southern end of the mine operations. Mt Arthur Coal (Ayitsale and Roxburgh Pits).

 

 

 

Thiess has a strong presence in the Hunter Valley, where it has operated since the 1940s. Today, it provides mining services at three mines, operates two maintenance workshops and contributes significantly to regional employment.

 

 

 

Under the new contract, Thiess will perform mine design, planning and scheduling services, drilling and blasting operations, overburden removal and coal mining.
