This international recognition places Adolfo Domínguez within an exclusive global community of just 9,700 companies, 280 of which are headquartered in Spain, that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and corporate responsibility.
Joining the B Corp community validates Adolfo Domínguez's commitment to sustainable and ethical business practices, joining other world-renowned brands such as Chloé, Ganni, Ecoalf and Patagonia who already hold this distinction.
Adriana Dominguez, the company's executive president, expressed her enthusiasm for this achievement: “We create garments whose design and quality can last for years in your wardrobe, ones you can grow fond of and wear again and again. The real impact of a garment lies in the number of times you wear it. We're thrilled to be part of the B Corp movement. For a company of our structure and size, this is a huge responsibility that drives us to continue focusing not only on what we do, but also on how we do it.”
For its part, Lucas Hunter, Interim Executive Director of B Lab in Spain, highlighted the importance of this addition: “We are proud to welcome Adolfo Domínguez to the B Corp community. His incorporation reinforces the role that large companies can play in transforming the economic model toward a more fair, inclusive, and sustainable one. With a consolidated track record in designer fashion, a continuous commitment to innovation in sustainable materials, and a firm commitment to the well-being of his team and corporate transparency, Adolfo Domínguez embodies the values of the B Corp movement and demonstrates that it is possible to generate a positive impact without sacrificing growth and creative excellence.”
A Legacy of Consciousness and Creativity
Since its inception, Adolfo Domínguez has integrated respect for the environment and creativity into its DNA. In the 80s, the brand pioneered the revival of linen, a fiber distinguished by its natural wrinkle and dependence on rainwater for its cultivation. Known for its style that blends elegance and naturalness, the brand has always championed a distinctive aesthetic. In 2010, the company broke new ground in industry standards by publishing its Animal Welfare Manifesto.
In recent years, Adolfo Domínguez has intensified its commitment to a more conscious and measured consumption model, promoting social dialogue through campaigns such as "Be Older" and "Repeat More. Need Less." It has also implemented innovative initiatives such as ADN Rent (clothing rental) and ADN Box (personal shopper powered by artificial intelligence) to offer alternatives to excessive consumption.
With a network of 376 stores in 27 countries and an annual turnover of 126,7 million euros (2023/24 financial year), Adolfo Domínguez employs more than 1.000 professionals, of which 81% are women.
