Adolfo Domínguez presents his IKIGAI collection at Dubai Fashion Week

On September 2, the fashion firm Adolfo Domínguez debuted its fall-winter 2024 collection, IKIGAI, During the Dubai Fashion Week. This presentation, which condensed more than 1.200 references into just fifteen looks, offered attendees an ephemeral experience that celebrated the essence of the brand's designer fashion. In a space of more than 20 meters, the mannequins wore key pieces from the collection, surrounded by crafts created with natural materials.

Globally, Adolfo Domínguez has 362 points of sale in 26 countries and reported an annual turnover of 126,7 million euros in the 2023/24 financial year.

Inspired by the Japanese concept of ikigai, which promotes the search for life purpose, the new collection was conceived in the Agora Creative Laboratory, from the Adolfo Domínguez group. The collection stands out for its focus on durability and timelessness, with light and versatile garments that fuse relaxed silhouettes, asymmetrical cuts, and soft volumes. Neutral tones contrast with bright colors, while the characteristic wrinkled fabrics and ruffles provide a feeling of spontaneity and naturalness.

“The sum of all of them creates what Adolfo Domínguez is today,” he explained. Adriana Dominguez, CEO of the group, during the opening of the event. “Each garment tells a different story.”

This event marks Adolfo Domínguez's second participation at Dubai Fashion Week, after having presented its spring-summer 2024 collection in February. The firm thus reinforces its expansion in the Middle East, where it has opened three new stores in the last year in collaboration with Chalhoub Group, the leading luxury retailer in the region.
