Aerolaser System, a pioneer in geospatial technology, wins the 2024 National SME of the Year Award.

 

This award, which celebrates the excellence and dynamism of small and medium-sized Spanish companies, highlighted the innovative work of Aerolaser System in the development of geospatial technology for the analysis of infrastructure and power grids globally. The event also served to recognize other outstanding SMEs in areas such as internationalization, innovation, training and sustainability, highlighting the crucial role of these companies in the Spanish economic fabric.

 

The event, held in Madrid, brought together business leaders, government representatives, and members of royalty, who witnessed the recognition of the work of Aerolaser System and other SMEs that represent the entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability of the Spanish economy.

El Minister of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, Charles Body, reaffirmed the Government's commitment to SMEs, highlighting the importance of facilitate their growth and competitiveness"Our commitment to SMEs is clear: we want to provide every possible support from the Government and the economic policy to boost their growth. It's not just about easing administrative burdens or improving the regulatory framework, but about fostering a model for larger, more competitive companies with the capacity to attract talent, invest in innovation, and offer better salaries," the minister stated. The minister also emphasized support for companies affected by the DANA (Dana), in order to relaunch them.

 

His Majesty the King has highlighted the country's commitment to the future of SMEs, which strengthen national growth and represent "the muscle and heart of our business ecosystem, of our projection towards Europe and the world."

 

 

José Luis Bonet, president of the Chamber of SpainBonet emphasized the courage and boldness of SMEs, essential qualities for business success in times of uncertainty. "None of the SMEs that have reached this final would have achieved anything without taking risks, without being daring. I am sure that you have all experienced moments of enormous anxiety in which you have been forced to make bold decisions. Because behind every business success, there is a courageous decision. And that is what is needed now: courage, boldness, daring, and determination," Bonet stated.

 

Luis Isasi, president of Santander SpainIsasi highlighted the role of digitalization and artificial intelligence in improving the competitiveness of SMEs and reaffirmed the bank's commitment to their success. "This award not only recognizes a job well done, but also provides an impetus for continued growth. At Banco Santander, we remain committed to the success of SMEs because their growth is everyone's growth," Isasi stated.

 

José María Luque, CEO of Aerolaser SystemLuque shared his excitement and gratitude for the award, highlighting his team's effort and perseverance. "Creating and growing a company is no easy task. In addition to Aerolaser System, other SMEs were awarded in various categories:

  • National Second Prize for Innovation and Digitalization: Neos Surgery (Guipúzcoa), for its development of innovative medical devices.
  • National Accessit for Training and Employment: Analytical Instrumentation (Barcelona), for its commitment to female talent and employee training.
  • National Accessit for Sustainable SMEs: Jumadi Group (Granada), for its focus on sustainability in the professional hygiene and equipment sector.

 

The jury, composed of representatives from institutions and media outlets, highlighted the high quality of the applications and the positive impact of SMEs on the economy and society.
