Aeropuertos del Perú will modernize four airports with the help of Sener and UG21

The projects seek to boost investment, trade and connectivity

Aeropuertos del Perú (AdP), a Sandoval Group company, has awarded a consortium formed by Sener and UG21 two contracts for the modernization of the airports of Iquitos, Pucallpa, Tarapoto and Trujillo.

Pre-investment studies for Iquitos, Pucallpa and Tarapoto

The first contract includes pre-investment studies for the expansion and modernization of airports in Iquitos, Pucallpa and Tarapoto. These studies will analyze demand, development options, architectural concept and simulations to optimize airport operations. Among the planned improvements are the expansion of runways, the construction of new passenger and cargo terminals, and the improvement of operational safety.

Technical file for the rehabilitation of the Trujillo Airport

The second contract focuses on the development of the technical file for the investment in the rehabilitation of the air side and the expansion of the perimeter fence of the Trujillo Airport. This will allow the renewal of the pavements of the runway, taxiway and aircraft apron, as well as the design of a new perimeter fence and a perimeter road.

 

The modernization of these four airports is an important step for the economic and social development of the regions of Loreto, Ucayali, San Martín and La Libertad

 

Strengthening regional airport infrastructure

The initiatives seek to modernize regional airport infrastructure to boost investment, trade and connectivity. The projects will allow:

• Expand landing strips for larger aircraft.
• increase capacity of passenger and cargo movement.
• Improve operational safety from airports.
