The Port of Algeciras has made its presence felt at the Nor-Shipping 2025 trade fair , which is being held at Oslo City Hall in the Norwegian capital. This event, which will commemorate its 60th anniversary this Thursday at the Astrup Fearnley Museum , is a key meeting point for the global maritime industry.
The Port Authority of Algeciras (APBA) has a stand in the Spanish Pavilion, B03-04b, which is supported by ICEX . Additionally, the Chamber of Commerce has provided financial support to companies from the Port Community participating in the event, within the framework of its Global SME program , co-financed by the ERDF 2021-2027 and the Provincial Council.
The Andalusian delegation comprises representatives from the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA) and the Port Community, as well as renowned companies such as A. Pérez y Cía, Agunsa, Aiyon Abogados, ASG Shipping, BayPort, Crosscomar, Elcome Europe, Remesa, Sandvik Marine Electronics, Scamp Marine, and Seapoole. Their mission is to promote the wide range of services offered to vessels in the Strait of Gibraltar, including shipping agents, repairs, shipyards, and refueling.
As part of the activities, the stand will host a Maritime Networking Meeting tomorrow, Wednesday , at 13:00 p.m., designed to establish contacts with clients and companies interested in operating in the port of the Strait.

Alongside the trade exhibition, Nor-Shipping 2025 includes a series of conferences focused on the development of new sustainable fuels . Juan Pablo Pérez, Head of the Port Planning Department at the Port Authority of Algeciras Bay (APBA), will participate in one of these presentations, dedicated exclusively to green hydrogen . During his talk, Pérez will detail how the Bay of Algeciras is actively working to consolidate its position as a leading energy hub in the production, storage, and supply of green fuels, a crucial step towards the decarbonization of maritime transport.
