amec presents the 2022 Strength Index of Internationalization of the Spanish Economy

The ISI, an index created by amec in 2015 and updated every year, aims to summarize the strength and robustness of internationalization and observe its evolution.

amec, the community of internationalized industrial companies, calls on all media to present the Strength Index of the Internationalization of the Spanish Economy (ISI) 2022, which will take place next Monday, June 12. The general director of amec, Joan Tristany, will make the presentation to the media during a breakfast at the Club Financiero Génova (Calle del Marqués de la Ensenada, 14 – Madrid).

The ISI, an index created by amec in 2015 and updated every year, aims to summarize in a synthetic way the strength and robustness of the Capabilities and observe its evolution. Traditionally, internationalization had been measured separately based on aspects such as the volume of exports, the diversification of destinations, the number of exporting companies or the technological level of exports. But a global vision, a systemic index, was missing. In this way, the ISI evaluates a total of 19 indicators. The general director of amec will announce the 2022 result and explain the elements that have had a favorable behavior and those that have contributed negatively.

amec promotes new key factors of competitiveness in companies

The community of internationalized industrial companies amec promotes the new key factors of competitiveness in Spanish companies: anticipation, adaptability, collaboration, glocalization and sustainability. The companies that are part of amec generate an export volume of more than 6.200 billion euros, export on average 57,7% of their turnover and invest 5,1% in innovation.
