This growth is more than double the national average (33%), making Andalucía in the region that advances the most of the five largest exporters, with 44% of the country's total sales and the one that contributes the most to the increase in Spanish sales of this industry, with a contribution of 31% of the total.
Province Seville continues to be the epicenter of a key sector for Andalusian growth. In this period it has maintained its export level, adding 849 million euros to the community's bill. In addition, it concentrates 99% of total sales, and increases 132%, more than double.
Aware of the great potential of the aeronautical industry, Andalucía TRADE, the public agency for the foreign promotion of Junta de Andalucía, is working intensely to promote the sector in the world, through a strategy agreed with the Andalucía Aerospace cluster.
The region becomes the one that advances the most of the five largest exporters, with 44% of the country's total sales
An example of these actions is the recent participation in the ILA Berlin fair, held from June 5 to 9. In it, Andalucía TRADE organized the presence of five Andalusian companies that held a total of 24 business meetings.
ILA Berlin It is considered one of the most relevant events on the international aerospace circuit, since it has more than 72.000 professional visitors from all over the world. Within the framework of this event, Andalucía TRADE is one of the co-organizing entities of the Bilateral Meetings (B2B) 'ILA Connect & Meet', whose objective is to promote collaboration between visiting and exhibiting entities in the aerospace sector.
Andalusia, strategic pole of the European aeronautical industry
Andalusia is one of the main aeronautical hubs in Europe and, along with Toulouse and Hamburg, it is the only one in Spain that has a final assembly line (FAL) for a large aircraft, the Airbus A400M.
The Andalusian Government has classified this industry as strategic and, therefore, has promoted 'Andalusia Aerospace Strategy 2021-2027'. The efforts of the Andalucía Aerospace cluster, as well as Airbus, as a major European tractor industry, are also added to this line.
Andalucía TRADE, at the service of aeronautical companies
Currently, Andalucía TRADE promotes the aeronautical sector in the world together with the Andalusia cluster with actions such as ADM Seville 2024, which took place from May 14 to 16, in the Andalusian capital. ADM is the main business forum in Southern Europe, which this year 2024, in its seventh edition, had a record number of 1.343 professionals from 29 countries and held more than 8.700 business meetings.
During the remainder of the year, the public agency will also organize other actions with Andalucía Aerospace, such as trade missions and fairs, to strengthen contact between Tier1 and international OEMs and Andalusian companies.
Andalusia, a land of opportunities for the aeronautical industry
The figures support the great potential of the Andalusian aeronautical industry. The commitment of Andalusian government, together with the work of the Andalucía Aerospace cluster and the actions of Andalucía TRADE, are key to continuing to promote the growth of this strategic sector for the Andalusian economy.
