Andalusia promotes the internationalization of its SMEs with new incentives for foreign trade.

 

This program is designed to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and self-employed workers in the region in their efforts to expand their operations and promote their products and services internationally.

 

The initiative seeks not only to facilitate the promotion of goods and services abroad, but also to encourage international prospecting trips, crucial to increasing and consolidating the Andalusian footprint in the global economy.

 

Who can benefit?

The incentives are aimed at:

    SMEs and self-employed individuals with a center or operational establishment in Andalusia.

    Business associations with operational headquarters in Andalusia, provided they are predominantly made up of SMEs.

 

Amount and Coverage of Incentives

 

Funding for these incentives will range from 50% to 100% of eligible costs. In addition, a maximum number of people per company whose expenses can be covered by the subsidy will be established for each action.

 

For expenses related to international prospecting trips, the amount will be calculated using simplified cost methods, based on unit costs and lump sums, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/1060. It is important to note that the maximum amount of the incentive will be subject to the limits established by the applicable de minimis regulations, depending on the economic sector of each beneficiary company.

 

This program has 85% co-financing by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), in the framework of Andalusian FEDER Operational Program 2021-2027, which underlines the European commitment to the region's economic development. Beneficiaries must comply with the visibility and transparency obligations established by European regulations.

 

Detailed Eligible Expenses

 

The incentive line will cover a wide range of essential expenses for internationalization:

    Participation in international trade fairs and exhibitions: This includes travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses for company staff, as well as the cost of the stand's flooring, equipment, and decoration. It also covers turnkey services offered by ICEX or recognized associations, and the costs of registration or exhibitor packages.

    International prospecting trips organized by TRADE or ICEX: Covers travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses for company personnel during these trips.

 

All expenses must have been incurred before the application is submitted and within the call for proposals. Those actually paid by December 31, 2029, are eligible.

 

Instruments and Payment Process

 

Payment of the incentives will be made in a single installment, under a non-competitive system. The bank transfer will be made once the project has been duly accredited and all expenses, payments, and compliance with the conditions established in the contract have been justified. The legal basis governing this program is the Order of July 10, 2025, which approves the regulatory bases for granting these subsidies by the Business Agency for Economic Transformation and Development (TRADE).
