Central Asia will grow 2,9% in 2024, according to the IMF
The public agency Andalusia TRADE has organized an online technical conference to inform Andalusian companies in the agricultural auxiliary sector about business opportunities in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, two Central Asian countries with great potential for economic growth.
According to the IMF, Central Asia is in a moment of economic expansion, with a projected growth of 2,9% by 2024. In this context, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are presented as two especially attractive markets for Andalusian companies in the auxiliary agricultural sector.
Both countries need to modernize their agricultural sector, which opens a great opportunity for Andalusian companies that offer greenhouse technologies, accessories, intensive gardens and fertilizers.
Uzbekistan, leader in fruit and vegetables
Uzbekistan is the main agricultural center in Central Asia and the absolute leader in the cultivation and distribution of horticultural products. However, most of its agricultural production is not processed, which represents a great opportunity for Andalusian companies that can offer solutions in this area.
Kazakhstan, among the 10 largest wheat exporters
Kazakhstan, for its part, has a rural economy where agriculture and livestock employ 25% of national employment. The country is among the ten highest quality wheat exporters in the world, but needs to modernize its agricultural machinery.
Almost thirty Andalusian companies participated in the technical conference organized by Andalucía TRADE, and were able to learn first-hand about the business opportunities in these two markets.
Co-financing by the European Union
The participation of Andalucía TRADE in this action is co-financed with funds from the European Union, charged to the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2021-2027.
Opportunities for Andalusian companies
Andalusian companies in the agricultural auxiliary sector have a great opportunity to enter the markets of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. These two countries offer great potential for economic growth and need to modernize their agricultural sector.
