A market of 38 million consumers
The trade mission, which took place in Krakow and Warsaw from June 4 to 6, allowed Andalusian companies to hold more than 50 top-level business meetings with local businessmen.

Six Andalusian food and beverage companies in the sector participated in a trade mission organized by Andalucía TRADE, Business Agency for the Transformation and Economic Development of the Junta de Andalucía, with the aim of expanding its business opportunities in Poland, a growing market with more than 38 million potential consumers and a key point of expansion into the markets of Central and Eastern Europe.
The trade mission, which took place in Krakow and Warsaw From June 4 to 6, it allowed Andalusian companies to hold more than 50 top-level business meetings with local businessmen. In addition, visits were made to different points of sale in the Polish capital and the Andalusian delegation was received by the commercial advisor of Spain in Poland, Rocío Chico.
Poland is the seventh market on the European continent and the eighth in the world for Andalusian agri-food, with record exports of 336 million euros in 2023
The purchasing power of Poles continues to rise, consolidating domestic consumption as the main engine of the national economy. Furthermore, the unemployment rate, which stands at a historic 3%, underlines the strength of the Polish labor market.
Andalucía TRADE reports indicate that in the gourmet food sector, local importers show growing interest in typical and traditional Andalusian products, such as olive oil, olives, hams and cheeses. They also look for original and innovative products to offer their customers through specialized stores, online sales and supermarket chains.
The Andalusian companies present at the trade mission
The Andalusian delegation that has been part of the mission is made up of six companies that are dedicated to baking, meat, dairy, Iberian products, olive oil, ham and olives. The participating companies are:

- Covap and El Mesto (Córdoba)
- D´Villalta Oils (Granada)
- The Green Gold Olive Oil Co. (Jaén)
- Jabugo Consortium (Seville)
Andalusia, second community in sales in the sector in Spain
Andalusia is the second community in sales in the sector in Spain, after Catalonia, with 18,6% of the total. The main Andalusian agri-food exports to Poland in 2023 were vegetables (59% of the total), fruits (24,6%) and olive oil (6,1%).
Almería, leader in exports, and Cádiz the one that grows the most
Almería becomes the most exporting province of the food and beverage sector to Poland in 2023, with a total of 199 millones de euros. Cádiz is the province that is growing the most, doubling its sales to 9,2 million and an increase of 107% compared to 2022.
