Andalucía TRADE promotes Andalusian agroindustry in Poland, an expanding market

 

In an effort to strengthen the export business fabric of Andalusia, Andalucía TRADE has led a direct trade mission to Poland, focused on the auxiliary industry of agriculture. This strategic movement is aligned with the objectives of the Andalusian Government to internationalize its agricultural products and services. The action took place during the 15th edition of TSW “Targi Sadownictwa i Warzywnictwa”, held on January 22 and 23 in Kielce, Poland.

 

The event brought together more than 16.000 visitors and featured more than 450 exhibitors on an exhibition area covering 28.000 square metres. The participating Andalusian companies —Inagroup Biotech, Deretil Agronutritional and Biorizon Biotech (Almeria), Alber Plastic Moldings (Granada) and Cotexa Alcalaina (Jaen)— held up to 80 meetings with Polish importers, standing out for their innovative and sustainable offering.

 

Poland is a key agricultural market in Europe due to its significant arable land area of ​​14,54 million hectares. In the last decade, the country has doubled its area under greenhouse cultivation, creating significant opportunities for Andalusian companies interested in this emerging market. According to recent reports, the primary sector represents 2,2% of Poland's GDP and generates 8,2% of employment, which underlines its modernisation and increasing productivity thanks to significant investments in mechanisation and agricultural technology.

 

The fair T.S.W. It is recognized as the leading showcase for agricultural machinery and technology in Central and Eastern Europe. It annually attracts distributors of agricultural chemicals, agricultural machinery and agricultural plastics, as well as representatives of large centres dedicated to agricultural processing, classification, storage and distribution.

 

This year's event was notable not only for its exhibitions but also for its full agenda of specialist conferences. Among the exhibitors were leaders specialising in advanced agricultural machinery and technological innovations aimed at optimising fruit and vegetable production.

 

Andalusian companies presented a wide range of innovative products designed to improve agricultural performance: from plastic pots to sustainable biostimulants; fertilizers; bioprotectors; essential chelates to correct nutritional deficiencies; mesh adapted to different agricultural needs; advanced mulches; resistant raffias and even beneficial microorganisms focused on a more efficient ecological model.
